Junior General Thoracic Surgeon

The Division of Thoracic Surgery in the Department of Surgery at Massachusetts General Brigham is seeking a junior faculty candidate with an interest in general thoracic surgery for a full-time clinical role. We will support the candidate for a part-time Instructor/ Assistant Professor appointment at Harvard Medical School.

The successful candidate will have an MD or equivalent, be Board-eligible or Board-certified in Thoracic Surgery, and be eligible for a Massachusetts Medical License. 

The successful candidate should be committed to excellence in quality and patient safety and have an interest in performing general thoracic surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital, plus one additional network site, approximately one to two days per week. The candidate is expected to also have an academic/research interest and eventually seek funding and establish a research portfolio. A robust infrastructure for clinical research support, specifically cancer-related health services, will be available at the Center for Surgery and Public Health. The candidate will also have an active role in educating and teaching medical students and residents.
