Duke Surgery seeks Division Chief of Pediatric Surgery and Chief of General Surgery for Duke Health Children’s Hospital
The Department of Surgery at Duke University and Duke University Children’s Hospital seek qualified, visionary applicants with proven clinical, leadership, administrative, and program development skills to become the next Division Chief of Pediatric Surgery and Chief of General Surgery for Duke Health Children’s Hospital. This position will also be critically involved in planning and execution of the North Carolina Children’s Hospital, a new, free standing children’s hospital being developed through a partnership between Duke Health and UNC Health.

The Duke Children’s Hospital is a “hospital within a hospital,” with in-patient facilities housed within the Duke Central Tower and the Duke University Hospital, including a 20-bed pediatric intensive care unit, a 20-bed pediatric cardiac intensive care unit, and a 67-bed neonatal intensive care unit. The Duke Children's Health Center, adjacent to Duke Hospital, provides an attractive, family-friendly setting for out-patient pediatric services. North Carolina Children’s Hospital is planned as a 500-bed, free standing hospital dedicated to the care of children and co-developed through a 50/50 partnership between Duke health and UNC Health.
