 Division of General Surgery

 

The Department of Surgery and Division of General Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center is seeking a fellowship-trained Minimally Invasive Surgeon with special interest in hernia and abdominal wall reconstruction. We seek qualified candidates at the level of Assistant Professor or higher and will join our group consisting of 6 surgeons as we expand our practice at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.  The candidate will establish a practice at Vanderbilt University Hospital and participate in satellite clinics located near Nashville.

 

The Division of General Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center provides a broad practice, including both primary and revisional hernia and foregut cases. Eligible candidates must be board certified in General Surgery, able to obtain and maintain a Tennessee Medical License and have completed a Minimally Invasive Surgery fellowship. Applicants should have a strong commitment to patient care, education, and advancing the field of General Surgery. The applicant must be committed to the Vanderbilt University Medical Center mission of reflecting the diversity of the populations we serve in our teams, programs and communications. Job responsibilities include participation in clinical and academic activities as they relate to the Division of General Surgery and the Department of Surgery. The candidate will work closely with the Division Chief and Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Committee.
