The Department of Surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine is seeking surgical breast oncology surgeon to join the full-time faculty at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor within the Section of Breast Surgery. The position requires a strong commitment to clinical care, research, and education. Applicants must be American Board of Surgery certified/eligible and must have completed fellowship training in either breast surgery or surgical oncology.
The Weill Cornell Medicine multidisciplinary breast oncology program has been continuously certified by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers since 2011. We perform approximately 1200 breast surgeries each year, and approximately 75% of these are for cancer. Our program features robust research opportunities in breast cancer outcomes, global health and disparities. This faculty position will be based at the Weill Cornell Medicine campus located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan but involves regular interactions and research with the Weill Cornell medicine/New York Presbyterian Hospital multidisciplinary breast programs based at the Brooklyn and Queens campuses within our network.
