The Department of Surgery of the Weill Cornell Medical College is seeking a pediatric surgeon to join the full time faculty in the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor of Surgery within the Division of Pediatric Surgery. The applicant must be board certified in Surgery and board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Surgery. The position requires a strong commitment to clinical care, research and education.


The selected candidates will join four other pediatric surgeons within the Division of Pediatric Surgery at the Weill Cornell Medical College and care for patients within the Komansky Center for Children’s Health at the New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Campus.
 

The Komansky Center for Children’s Health at the Cornell Campus houses a 50 bed NICU, 20 bed PICU and 30 bed inpatient pediatric unit with 5500 deliveries performed per year providing a robust neonatal service. The pediatric surgical service performs the full spectrum of pediatric surgical procedures with special expertise in complex neonatal malformations, pediatric thoracic surgery, minimal access surgery and solid tumors.

The anticipated range of salary for this position is $380,000-$450,000 total compensation  will be dependent on eligibility for supplemental discretionary pay.
 

Weill Cornell Medicine provides the above salary range in compliance with the New York City law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range listed is for full‐time employment not including bonuses, clinical incentive compensation, or benefits. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, specialty, training, and hospital/community needs.
